Crown No.12 Circular Mirror
Furniture and Accessories
A washing machine of sorts from the 1930’s, the ‘Crown Copper’ was in fact a pot on legs with an enamelled casing around it that you boiled clothes in, along with a little soap and kerosene before ringing the water out and hanging them out to dry.
This item long since separated from the base is the top that was the opening to put the clothes into the bowl.
It has that early Australian green speckled enamel that was often put on cast iron cookers and washers and is the perfect surround and size for a wall mirror.
Save a bit of history and look at yourself at the same time, perfect.
