Circa 1950 this Silky Oak sieve was probably used in a kitchen or bake house. Found discarded it has been cleaned and refinished with shellac to restore the original wood.

It is 45cm in diameter (almost 18 inches) and has been fitted with a 30cm (12 inch) floating mirror centred in the middle and a vintage leather luggage strap for extra detail.

The sieve is in great condition and has all of its original fittings. The silky oak grain is beautifully highlighted in the bentwood frame and is simply too nice to not display.

The fitting of the mirror upcycles it to a great piece of rustic décor.
