This trunk was found at a garage sale and the outside was completely covered in rust. It had been in the family for years and in the shed for as long as they could remember.

The bonus was that after the rust had been cleaned off and the metal sealed, the pitted patina was fantastic, still with traces of the original paint, and the locks when cleaned were bronze.

As a trunk it was great but with the addition of a custom metal base it became so much more.

The trunk is metal and is 51cm (20″) wide x 76cm (30″) long x 37cm (15″ ) high.
