It all started when I found a box full of old plumbing fittings at the local dump. Some were just strange in appearance, others vaguely recognisable, (I’m not a plumber) and I thought why not. So I bought them, for not much money and I started to experiment. I had found the old gauge some time earlier and in the space of an afternoon it assembled itself right in front of me.

Old (and new) pipe fittings with a retired brass gauge and a recycled timber base. I added the steel packing straps at the very last minute and it was done. Pipe ‘n gauge table lamp. One of my favourites.
