I acquired this vintage spinning mill bobbin from a collectables shop on the Central Coast of New South Wales in Australia. There are lots of these around but I loved the lines and the original worn finish of this one and thought it would translate into an elegant desk lamp. Great upcycle project on an item that was last in use in the early 1900’s.
